Hey,

Im a freshman who applied as a sophomore for Taft & Deerfield, I was accepted to Taft and waiting for a reply from Deerfield

I go to a top private school in CT, and my grades are pretty much solid B’s, A-'s in EC. I got a 75% on my SSAT.

I had a lot of Ec’s out of school, and a lot of long term commitments and community service which was definitely key.

If there is something that you’re especially good at you should really persue that because that is definitely what helped me the most (Ballet for 11 years) I was able to get a rec from both dance teachers at the schools, and they are all looking for long term commitments

Also being a well rounded person is really good, with sports, EC, grades, attitude, and really everything.

Also I’ve heard that kill recommendations help a lot, and staying in contact with the schools to show your interest.

Hope this helps!

And to improve for you now, I would really work on getting more EC’s, like more sports and maybe com. service.
