Chances so far for UPenn . . ?

So, this is solely based upon the "balance" between GPA and SAT/ACT. My GPA is not high at all in comparison to others applying to UPenn; a 3.7 weighted to be exact (I really let my grades drop 10th grade). So, considering this, what do you think I should aim for and above on my ACT/SAT (taking both, ACT for ED and SAT if I'm deferred/denied; I won't have time to take another SAT before ED, I need October for my SAT II's).

As of right now, I'm at a 2060 for SAT (680 M, 700 CR, 680 W - 8 Essay), and this would be my first/last time taking the ACT (I took the full-length diagnostic in the green/while pamphlet-thing handout - 31 English, 33 Math, 31 Writing, 32 Science; no essay). These scores are a bit below average for UPenn, so what should I aim for roughly? I know that GPA and SAT's/ACT's aren't directly related, but they do correlate a bit to a certain degree. (Let's also assume that I have good-great EC's, since I do.)

Thanks for reading this block of worried wondering.

I don’t know that you can compensate for your GPA through standardized tests. I would just try to study hard. As I look at your SAT scores, I don’t see a definite area of strength, so you might want to work most on the section that most represents your academic strength. Best of luck!

Interesting idea; thanks for responding. :)
