Chances...so far??

<p>Hey, what do you guys think my chances of me getting into Cornell CAS, maybe even doing ED</p>

<p>GPA: 4.2w 3.7unw - IB Program
SAT - 740m, 630cr, 680wr - however, i'm taking it again
SAT IIs, haven't taken them yet, but expecting >700 on math IIC, and bio.</p>

Science Fair
9th grade - 2nd at school, 2nd at regionals (engineering category)
10th grade - 1st at school, 1st at regionals (computer science)
11th grade - 1st at school, 1st at regionals, 1st at state (FL), 3rd at internationals ISEF( physics)
11th grade - won "Best Team Project" by US Airforce at ISEF International Science Fair
11th grade - participated in Orlando Science Center Science Challenge
12th grade - will be attending Siemens Westinghouse Science Competition
12th grade - working on a continuation of last year's project</p>

<p>Summer before senior year - spent at University of Florida, doing science research for 7 weeks. (Student Science Training Program) - won Best Oral Presentation Award. Recieved nomination to speak at the Florida Junior Science, Engineering, and Humanities Symposium (JSEHS). Attended JSEHS in 10th grade)

<p>So i'm pretty big into science research, and i can get a good recommendation from the professor I worked with at UF. Tell me any strengths / weaknesses, or what I should do. Thanks!</p>

<p>I think your chances for ED are great. I truly don't see how Cornell can reject you unless the applicant pool is unusually strong. Are you in the top 10% of your class?</p>

<p>If you really want to get into CAS, I'd definately do ED if I were you</p>

<p>I am just BARELY out of the top 10, im actually in like top 12 or so. Which is a slight downside.</p>

<p>630 CR and 680 W, while acceptable, are not going to help you, especially considering you are not in the top 10%. Try to boost the scores to >700.</p>
