Chances (somewhat weak SATs)

I'm in my senior year, and I just submitted my GA Tech apps, but after reading some topics here, I feel really worried.
GPA: 4.1 W
Activities: Physics Team, Math Team, Key Club (organized projects), business
wrote an essay on my business
Classes taking this year: ap govt, ap physics e&m, ap cal bc, ap psych, and ap literature
sats: 680 m, 620 verbal, 620 writing
act: 33 math, 33 english, 25 reading(yeah, I messed up...), 33 science, 31 composite
wrote essay on my business
My SATs scores are really worrying me because I feel inferior. Should I retake them/if I retake them, will the admittance people see the scores? I already submitted the application. If I sign up for the SAT now, I will take it on Nov. 1, and the GA Tech faq says that I will receive my decision after the first week of November.

I hope they can possibly overlook my SAT math scores for my ACT math score.

Thanks in advance.

What are you worrying about?

4.1 GPA, 33 Math, 33 English. That's more than enough to get into Tech. Have fun, and NO, DON'T bother retaking the SAT. Just send in your ACT (they only look at math and english anyway)

I second Feez.

yeah i agree with those 2 guys above me. At this point, you could sign your name and get accepted, but you said that you would receive your decision in november. Did you apply for the pres scholarship or something?

My friend got into GT last year with a 1620 and an 88 cumulative average and he's a male. Females are embraced like gold at Tech. I live in Georgia and i'm also applying to Tech but its more of a backup for vandy.

1620? CR+Math+W ?

that'd be 1920 if you do the math ticmmae

nono.. not kelper...

Talking about what trondo said...

oh my bad sorry

yeah 1620 for all 3 combined and superscored from 2 different tests. asian male (korean), played 3rd string football, some ECs.

just remember tech takes in 63% of the applicants, but by the time you graduate, you will only have 10% of your original entering class at graduation. im not sure where i read that stat but apparently its true, because i have heard it multiple times. They'll take you in and weed you out..opposite of private schools and thats why im considering private over tech.

10%? Are you kidding? Here are the stats:

http://www.irp.gatech.edu/Retention%20Study/FTF.pdf

Try 78% graduating within six years, and the rates are clearly improving over time. Last year, 95% of women came back as sophomores.

yeah my bad. im not sure where i heard it, but it was kinda prevalent.

Hello,
I'm excited to say that I got the acceptance packet today in the mail, and I forgot to mention that I was out of state in my first post. So, you guys can check out my stats/compare them to yours to see if you will get in or not.
Thanks for everybody that replied to my thread.

Congratulation!!!
Looks like you applied before October 1st right? I cannot wait until mid-december!! =b

Kinda prevalent amongst your peers who apparently hate GT? As Huxley once said, "Sixty-two thousand four hundred repetitions makes a truth".

Good to hear you were accepted.
