Volunteer: 150+ hours at veterans hospital for patient care and making adobe movies honoring veterans

<p>You have as good a chance as anyone to be accepted or rejected. Elite admissions are a crap shoot. There are no interviews at Amherst, so your essays are critical. Show who you are. Work on them to best of your ability. Good luck!</p>

<p>I wouldn't waste time retaking the SAT. No college is going to reject you because you have a 740 instead of a 780 or 800 in anything.</p>
