Chances Stanford ED pending Intel/Siemens

I wanted to get opinions on Stanford ED given that I become a semi-finalist or even finalist in the Westinghouse competition/Intel.

Current Stats are:

SAT-2250(M780, R740, W730)
SAT II's- USHist-700 :(, MathII-760, Biology-740
EC's-Pretty good compared to CC standards. Leadership positions as well.
Recs-Will be "good," possible "Best of my Career" selections
Rank-8/489 (2%)
GPA-3.8/4

Anything else I'm missing?

Anyways, please evaluate with possibility of becoming a semi-finalist/finalist. Don't bother telling me I won't make it w/o them, I know :P

Stanford doesn't have ED.

But yeah, good chances.

how gud is ur project? btw doing intel won't really help you because the results come out in late january. and siemens you just might get the results in time.

chances r pretty solid, but not "great" unless ur essays/recs are really that good. but i guess "best of my career" will help.

Stanford has SCEA, not ED.

If you live in caliii though, you have a much lesser chance.

And btw you just can't ASSUME you will become semifinalist/finalist, because you're project has to be DAMN good, and the professor should have done 3/4 of the work.

oh yea btw, i live in houston, tx, and one person from my school made siemens regional finalist (only 36 in the nation), had a 2280 SAT, class rank of 6/650 at a top 100 high school, excellent EC's, recs, and essays:

Harvard: Rejected
Yale: Waitlisted-->rejected
Stanford: Rejected
Duke: Accepted
Rice: Accepted w/ big scholarship

as you can see, getting siemens, at least (i don't know about intel, which won't help you anyway) might not make a big difference.

Stanford SCEA, not ED
