Chances: Stanford/MIT

I'll be a junior starting next month and was wondering what my chances will be with the top EECS schools in the US.

Volunteering (13...+)

*most clubs are on afternoon Thursdays, which conflicts with every other clubs

Received award for Outstanding Achievement in Foreign Language dept (Chinese II)
Won an art contest in the county

Worked with manga scanlation groups (KR --> ENG translator, editor, proofreader... I wonder if these count)

Future plans:
Take JLPT3 in December, more volunteering, get at least 97%+ on each classes, enter various art/writing contests, etc...

I know this is really frugal, and I only have a year and a half left before I have to apply to colleges - please help me strengthen my application. Any suggestions are welcome.

The GPA has to get up above 3.8 unweighted, especially if you’re not URM.

Aim for leadership and national awards.

I’m assuming you’re asian by your relations to scanlation groups and your language choices. If so, then you’ll probably need to figure out some plan to either really excel at what you do, or differentiate yourself from the other asian applicants.
