And a question. Does NYU look at each individual quarter grade? Like, if I just had one bad quarter but my average still stayed pretty good would they see that or even care much?

( Do you go to CBA??)

Anyways, for RD, Stern is a reach. Your SAT/ACT and SAT II’s are are lower than the 25%tile for admits. Even if you did ED, I would still say Stern would be a reach unless you significantly increase your SAT score.

Your school will most likely just send the final grades for each class and not each marking period grade…

Right now though your SAT scores are too low for Stern. They will need to be around 2100 most likely.

@NuclearPakistan1
Lol. No, but in the same general area. Think co-ed catholic high schools in the same area (not the same city) b/c I don’t want to say it on here. PM me if you want to know. I assume you go there b/c I saw you mention something about CBA in another thread.

@citybound
Yeah. I’m a really bad standardized test taker because I’m a slow reader. I hoping if I study and concentrate enough I can get a 32 on the ACT.
and thanks for the answer.

I forgot to add: Honors/Awards
Centro Civico Hispanoamericano Certificate in Recognition of Academic Achievements, 9
Honor Roll, 9-11
First Place Ribbon, 800m Relay, Frosh Boys Big 10 Championship, 9
Third Place Ribbon, 300m Dash, Frosh Boys Big 10 Championship, 9
5 Varsity Letters, 9-11
National Honors Society, inducted in grade 10
High Honor Roll, 11
6th Place Medal, 800m Relay, Varsity Boys Big 10 Championship, 11
UAlbany Achiever of Color Award, 11
Dartmouth College Book Awards, 11

and I’m African American if that matters, but I wouldn’t think so for NYU.

anymore?

African American???

That changes everything…

Stern: High match

Honestly though, there are some great schools out there that really need more diversity like Midd or Vassar that you should look into. IMHO, undergraduate business schools are all overrated. Your chances to break into ibanking or any other type of lucrative field will be much higher at Midd than Stern.

OMG 500 post!

I’m interested in Marketing (regardless of what I’ve seen people on here say about it) or maybe Finance. I plan on doubling with a liberal art or science of some kind.

Do you really think my racial status changes my chances? I wouldn’t think that for NYU being an URM would affect my chances so much. And one of the main reasons I want to go to NYU is for its diversity btw.

anyone else? please

Being a URM will most definitely help you at most if not all top schools. Despite having a boost due to being an URM I still think you are a reach because your SAT scores of 1190/1600 is still 200+ points below the Stern average and your Math II scores are also low.

You have no chance at Stern unless you significantly increase your SAT. At least above 2100.

We basically have the same profile except that I am white. I think I beat you in the SATs and ACTs by a few points. I go to public school, but an extremely smart public school in southern New Jersey.
