bumpbumpbumpbumpbump... anyone?

hey. thanks for responding on my thread. i'd say you have a good chance at most of the schools. it seems to me though, that you only have really good schools and safeties. you might want to add some higher end safeties or matches, because no matter what, Brown, MIT, Stanford, UPenn, and Yale cannot ever be considered matches. Wash U and Hopkins are also amazing schools that would be cocky to consider matches or safeties. when competing for a place at Brown, MIT, Stanford, UPenn, and Yale, you know that you'll be competing with many other asians with perfect sats and the like. however, if you're applying to the engineering schools of certain universities, being a woman will help. additionally, since you are first-generation college bound, colleges will look at you more carefully. my school is insanely competative, and last year the valedictorian (who had a ridiculously impressive resume and transcript) got rejected from MIT, Stanford, Princeton and a slew of other schools. to be safe, i would add another school of slightly lower caliber than Hopkins. but other than that, good luck.

thankx wexmex!

any other opinions?
