So far I’ve looked at Northwestern, UW Madison, Notre Dame, University of Minnesota, will be looking at SLU, Wash U, Purdue, Rose Hulman next week. I’m also considering a few others. I’m just curious of my chances and if I’m looking at the right places. If you have any info on schools I should consider that would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. Also please let me know if I’ve missed any key numbers or statistics that would help.

Places I’d reccomend:

Reaches:
Columbia
Carnegie Mellon
Berkeley
Cornell

Matches:
Georgia Tech
Michigan
USC

Safeties:
UMn
UW

Diversify that list a little bit, supplement it with wherever you like, but all of those are great schools, especially for engineering. I think you’re a solid applicant, although your GPA may be a little on the low end for a lot of top places. Good luck.

Carnegie Mellon and Harvey Mudd also have great engineering programs that are worth looking into. Both would either be low reaches or high matches.
