my essay is really creative and well written and my shorter essays are all pretty well written and I know at least one of my teacher recommendations should be really good because hes a genius, but I haven't seen it.

If that is the case, I think your chance are very good. There are never any guarantees in life, but I would be surprised if you were not admitted.

You did apply relatively late, but candidates with your stats usually get into Michigan. The difference between Michigan and the Ivy League is not that the students aren't as good, but the rate at which they accept the good students is much higher. The average student admitted into Michigan is about the same as the average student admitted into Columbia or Penn. Unfortunately, because of Michigan's slightly weaker yield, the average student who actually enrolls into Michigan is slightly weaker.

I was accepted to Tufts ED and Michigan as well, and the acceptance rate for each school is around 25%, (25% for out of state applicants). The averages for SATs and whatnot are a little higher at Tufts (around 1400, but I got in with a 1340), average rank is 7%, but they are pretty similar as far as stats go.

Michigan typically accepts between 40% and 60% of its applicants...although it has hovered in the 50% range for the last couple of years. That may seem high, but it isn't when you consider that most applicants have SAT scores over 1300, ACT scores over 28 and GPA and GPAs over 3.7. The acceptance rates for students with stats under the ones mentioned above are actually very low. Other schools that are similar to Michigan in that regard are Johns Hopkins and Chicago. They have relatively small application pools, low yields and as such, high acceptance rates, but the quality of the applicants is good.
