I just visited Princeton, and I really liked it. It became into my number one choice after the visit. I have a sort of mediocre app (compared to others here), but anyway, here goes:

Major: Economics
Asian (East Indian)
School GPA: 3.81/4.00 (+.3 for AP/Honors (called AC))
UW GPA: ~3.6 (upward trend sophomore to junior)

Top 10(likely)-15(surely)%.
Good public HS in Michigan, class of ~700
ACT: 31
SAT: 2100: 710 math 690 verbal 700 writing (superscore)
SAT II (weak!): 710 US History, 640 Math II, 600 Chemistry
AP: 5 English 3 History 2 Chemistry
Essays- don't know yet, but I know I can get good feedback on them, so they'll probably at least decent.
Recs-they'll be good, including a great one from the physician who is my employer ( I do research for him), and one additional interview rec from one of the alumni association presidents of Princeton (my cousin).

Extra Curriculars:

understand all and speak a bit of 5 different languages.

Awards:
AAA Travel Challenge travel specific scholarship state finalist (top 5)
Solo and Ensemble- 2 (good) rating
National Honor Roll (?)
National Merit Commended, maybe semifinalist (210 in Michigan)

Might have forgotten some stuff, but that should be it, mostly. Thanks for any responses.

You're going to REALLY need to work on your angle in application, because by what you have listed....you fail into the 'asian' stereotype without the scores to be extremely competitive.

Your SAT IIS need to come up (take in subject tests where you can score close to 800...maybe a language if you are fluent in another; that's pretty easy to nail - either you know it or you don't.) Your extracurriculars need to pop out more, or you really need to differentiate yourself by doing some amazing essays. If you can do that you have a reasonable shot; otherwise it's a bit of a longshot for you I'm afraid (given what you've presented about yourself.)

Oh, and don't submit the 2 Chemistry AP...only the ones you pass.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but no. They're not Indian "dialects". They're completely different languages (somewhat like the difference between Spanish/French/Italian)-but I'm not even sure to include them because I wouldn't say that I am completely fluent in all...and I can't read/write. It's pretty worthless when it comes down to it I guess... But thanks Cibbir & MX. I think the SAT IIs are the weakest part of my app, if I had to pick one.

I also know Hindi, Sindhi, and a lit bit of Gujrati. SInce these are the first languages spoken at home will this work in my favor? Also Sindhi is a very rare language for most Indians in America to know? Will this also work in my favor?

337 million people speak Hindi but only 21.5 million people speak sindhi. how does that look for an admissions boost? also where can you include all this info?

i don't know if speaking sindhi specifically would necessarily work in ur favor, but all those languages which you have mentioned are certainly distinct. i don't know about other apps, but for columbia's app for instance, they specifically ask u to write down the languages you speak. like i could put down urdu, punjabi, classical arabic, and maybe hindi. but yeah, hope that helps!
