-ACT: 33, retaking
-SAT II: Bio 770
-Unweighted GPA: School Doesn't Calculate, but 4.0 W...just a note that valedictorian last year had around a 4.2-4.3, so for those who say its impossible to get into some schools without a 4.5, that is physically impossible at my school...we dont have grade inflation like the schools that give kids 5.0+
-Rank: School Doesnt Rank, but around top 5-10%
-AP (place score in parenthesis): Bio (5) Latin Lit (4) , Physics, Calculus, and Gov next year
-Senior Year Course Load: Most rigorous, school limits AP classes to 6 over 4 years, I will graduate with only 5 due to other classes

Weaknesses: GPA, but my school is extremely competitive and some teachers refuse to give As which is weird, No work experience

I am currently at Yale University conducting research in correlation with the OB/GYN department regarding the specific histadines on prolactin and binding to cancer cells. I am doing the work, not being guided by PhDs. If all turns out how it should, it will be published in a paper alongside the research of the PhDs from the same lab in the upcoming lab paper in a very prestigious medical journal.

i’d estimate your chances at 70-80%, especially if you can get that research published. if you can get a 34 act or the sat equivalent then i’d say it’s a done deal.

naw dawg, id put it at 81%

I say you’re most likely in, especially if you apply early. I had a little higher test scores, but nowhere near as good extracurriculars.

Yea, I really think I can get my ACT up to a 34 (maybe 35). I really can’t decide if I should apply early or not..I have been weighing the pros and cons and I am pretty much stuck..any suggestions?

test scores right now might be low for early action…but my gpa out of HS was a 97.3/100 and the valedictorian was like a 104.5%…i had a 1510 SAT and i got in early

naturally, that isnt my whole application so it really does depend…but i was top 5% of my class if thait gives you any idea…if you get your test score up to a 34 i think youd have a good shot early

im a rising junior now though, so things may be harder than they were

applying early means that if you get in, you don’t have to apply anywhere else or even worry about choosing a different school. i’d recommend it if you’re certain ND is your #1 school, especially since your stats and ec’s seem good enough to get in.
