State: OREGON
I will be applying for FA.

You seem likely to get in, assuming good essays, good recs, and a showing of some demonstrated interest in Emory.

Thanks! I’m a little worried about my demonstrated interest (I haven’t visited!), but I did attend a presentation at my high school and have gotten brochures and such… I hope this is okay!
Anyone else?

I live in florida + I didn’t visit because of money issues. Like they even take that into account.

Yes, do visit. That helps you A LOT in the “show interest” part. It’s been said that those who visit the campus are more likely to attend than those who don’t.

You’ll be fine.

Hi! As the deadline is approaching, I just wanted to bump this for some final chances!
Thanks!

I got in last year with nearly identical stats. Your extracurriculars are solid, your GPA and SAT are as well. As long as you don’t slack on your essays, you will get in. Take my advice on this though, certainly put forth your best effort to explain why you couldn’t visit and things of that sort. Similarly to Melin, I couldn’t visit because of some money issues (I live about 5 hours away by car). I explained why I could not make an official campus visit in my essay and the financial aid office certainly took note of that in the end, giving me a full-ride (mix of merit and need-based). Good luck with getting financial aid, I’m sure you deserve it.

How many females from Oregon attend Emory? you’re in from my perspective…

Good point, rodney.

Emory doesn’t really care about demonstrated interest and your location as well as your stats seem strong enough. But, didn’t the application for the Goizueta program already end?

@TheRoad - you can’t apply to the business school as a freshman unless you do the Goizueta scholars program (which I did not do). I plan on applying as a sophomore.

Thanks everyone! Turned in my app - YAY DONE WITH COLLEGE APPS!

<emory doesn’t=“” really=“” care=“” about=“” demonstrated=“” interest=“”></emory>

Emory DOES care about demonstrated interest. Are you kidding, dude?

It has “Level of Applicant’s Interest” under “Important admission factors.”
