Chances, there are miracles, right?

After lurking a bit, it seems as if I have no chance. However..

I am going to be (or plan to be) a A.A. transfer.
My major is Psychology.

I work, in order to go to school, so I have no extras, other than my internal longing.
My current GPA is a simple 3.29 I am retaking Biology, so it will go up a little. Math has been my main achillies heel.

My ACT scores are English : 24, Math:21 Reading 27 Science 22 Essay 23

Has anyone heard of any miracles, like me? Or, should I just run to the nearest volunteer work I can find?

To be honest, I'm terrified about the whole thing, and really really really don't want to be sent to Tampa. ><"

only gpa and major matters

UF does not do grade forgiveness. They most likely will calculate your new grade, but they will also calculate your old one too. Check the mim requirements for psychology majors at UF. You should see how well you stand there.

You also should check the pre-reqs required by your major. We had been told that A.A transfers are not accepted unless they have all of the pre-reqs for the major. If you are missing any and you have time, take them.

I am working on the req. Trig, and next Calculus.
As for everything else, I am finished.

if math is your weakness… you REALLY won’t like calc. I suggest a tutor and some serious time devoted to calc if you want to do well in the class.

a friend of mine, engineering, was accepted while missing 1 pre-req. not sure if engineering is an exception.

but yea…I see you still have another semester so a good semester with lots of credits can still bring that gpa to 3.5x

If you have an AA you have a pretty good chance to get in. You need to check what courses you are required for your major. Also it is a good idea to either email or call the undergrad adviser for your major to make sure you know what you need to get in. I was a AA transfer into Aerospace engineering and online it said I needed 8 critical tracking courses but after I called the undergrad adviser she told me I only needed to have 6 to get in.
