If I were you, I'd go to UCSD, USC, Boston Univ, Washington or Florida (my preferences in that order). Reasons for theses choices are: Good schools, good cities, and good prospects for medical school and/or medical jobs upon graduation

I think Acad GPA (10-12) is not the same as UCGPA..

will my chances stay the same given these stats?

Might want to look at Tufts and Holy Cross both near Boston with very good pre-med programs. Holy Cross is also SAT optional with strong alumni network.

I'm a resident of FL, so I have alot of friends are at UM or UF. I don't know how being OOC will affect you, but you would have a great shot at UF. UM, on the other hand, might be questionable. I know one of the med programs there requires an unweighted GPA of 3.75.

Well... I know of some serious retarded people who got into UF. And UM's med program is hard to get into since it attracts alot of top notch students.

Yes, UF and UM are comparable schools due to the fact that neither of the schools is that much better to the point where the increase in selectivity or U.S. News rank would benefit him/her when applying to grad school or for a job.

Do not go by the rankings between these two schools. The difference of 7 spots is so small and the rankings differences in medical schools so minute that if you graduate with an identical gpa from both schools you will have the same opportunities.

UM is not better than UF to the point where it will open more doors, create much stronger connections or put you at a distinct advantage over UF when it comes time to grad school.

The same goes for UF over UM.

Go where you think you will be happiest and therefore will have the highest chances to succeed.

"Go where you think you will be happiest and therefore will have the highest chances to succeed."

it'd be nice if the answer was clear...
