<p>Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on my chances at NYU. I applied to CAS.</p>

<p>Essays: Decent, I worked hard on them. Question is whether they will like them.
Teacher Rec: Good
Counselor Rec: Good</p>
<p>Not the greatest list of ECs, but I spend the majority of my free time on my television show and at track practice/meets. Obviously my overall GPA isn't great, but I had a hard time adjusting to high school level work and struggled my freshman year. My GC's rec centered mainly on how I have gone through a big change as a person and student since he first met me.</p>
<p>NYU tends to take a lot of kids from my school (12 went last year, almost 20 admitted) and 5(out of 8) got in early this year (3 Stern, 1 CAS, 1 GSP) so I'm hopeful.</p>
<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>
