Chances Thread

Currently a freshman at Ithaca College looking to transfer for Fall 2008.

High School: 3.1GPA
SAT: 550M 580CR 620W

College: 3.74GPA 1st semester

Will my High School stats limit my options at schools such as...

Villanova, Providence, Marist?

Also, any other suggestions for Northeast schools to look into?

bumping this

Villanova might be a slight reach but the other two you should definitely be accepted to. If you aren't religious than there might be a problem with 'Nova and PC.

Thanks for the advice boston. I'd like to expand my list a little but would prefer to stay within the Northeast. Does anyone have any other suggestions or opinions on the schools I've already listed?

Coming from Ithaca College , your GPA is strong.

Why aren't you going to Cornell?

I was considering applying to CALS but figured my SATs and overall high school stats would hold me back. Does Cornell place any extra weight on coming from Ithaca College or something?

Again, any additional opinions would be greatly appreciated.

any other opinions?

Trying to keep this on the first page. I'd really appreciate any other opinions/suggestions.

Hate to keep bumping this, but am searching for opinions on schools I previously listed or any general comments.
