I have been in CC for 2 years and going on my third. I did not do so well those years and have a 2.64 GPA. I failed a math class which I plan on retaking. My plan was to be in a UC by fall 2017 but do I have any chance of getting into at least UCR? I plan in going into business.
Also should I get an associates degree?
I have been working on IGETC and should have it done by spring 2017. I am planning on passing all the classes I have left and have estimated having at least a 3.29 GPA by spring.
What are the chances I could get into any UC school using TAG
Is it worth applying this Fall?
The lowest transfer GPA required for TAG is UC Merced 2.80 for the School of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (Psych not included), but you can still apply without TAG. For UCR, you need a minimum 3.0 for the same college to TAG.
I have provided the TAG matrix link which lists all the requirements and GPA needed.

I would also post in the Transfer sub forum: UC transfers
http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major shows transfer admission GPA ranges and admission rates by UC campus and major.
Your GPA by the end of Fall is what really matters most. Schools will have already accepted or rejected applicants by the time Spring grades come out. I’m not sure how feasible is realistic this is for you, but if you can get your GPA up to a 3.0 by the end of fall, I think you have a shot at riverside, Santa Cruz and definitely Merced in non-competitive majors.
