Hey guys, I am a junior in an extremely competitive private school. Its a Jewish school so I take Hebrew/ Jewish classes as well as secular courses. My school is farley new (5 years), but many kids have been accepted to the Ivy Leagues, as well as, other top colleges. My school doesn’t rank. I love business and have loved it for many years.
Please state whether these schools are Reaches, Matches or Safeties. Also what can I do to improve my chances? Thank You!

sigh.... do you even have to ask?? man these kids...

If you are out-of-state, Berkeley is a slight reach/match.

Senormetador.... What do you mean do I have to even ask? I want to know where I stand with these schools specifically Wharton and Stern. I am not a perfect student; at this point, my sat scores haven’t broken 2200 and I had a bad freshmen year. Can anyone just tell me where I stand with these schools...Reach, Match or Safety

You have great ECs for sure. However I will tell you from experience that a white Jewish kid (I'm guessing your from the Northeast as well) majoring in business applying to top schools is not going to help you at all. I'd say you'll get in most of those schools, but maybe not Wharton or Berkeley.

That sucks! Wharton is my dream school.

Welcome to life in the big city, kid.

Yeah, I am still going to apply Wharton ED. You never know what could happen.

That's the spirit!

I know plenty of people who got "pleasantly suprised" by some of their reaches. Good luck.

Based on very anecdotal evidence (one person) a great recommendation from the Columbia professor could get you into Wharton. The person I know of applied there ED with a great recommendation from a college professor (from Penn though) and she thinks that's what did it.

dude 88 freshmen year isnt a "bad" year lol + i doubt thats going to hurt you when applying to wharton

I hope not. That would suck if that was the reason I got rejected.
