*Not submiting SAT I or II scores b/c SAT I was not too good
Awards: Nothing really worth noting, Honor Roll, etc
E.C.: Average, Volunteer hours, clubs, piano for 11 years </p>

<p>Looks like you’re in the same boat as me. However, I didn’t apply ED but from what I’ve heard, if your essay and recommendations are excellent, you should be in.</p>

<p>Well i know one of the recommendations is amazing but i haven’t seen the other one. I assume its quite good because the teacher really likes me. My Why Duke Essay was a bit generic but i think it got the job done but people say my common app essay was really unique and enjoyable to read. BTW Thx for the chance, & i chanced u back.</p>

<p>ya i would have to agree…duke is a reach for everyone but you are certainly quallified to be accepted…would give it a 50/50 chance just because of the selectivity</p>

<p>Duke is a tough school to get into but u have as good as a chance as most people. I hope you get in!!</p>

<p>Duke’s a crapshoot but you’re definitely as qualified as anyone else. You definitely have the grades and your ACT is good enough. It’s true that your EC’s dont stand out but with your academic qualifications I’d say you have a good shot if you write a good essay.
