To provide some background, I'm pretty desperate to enter the private university in West Los Angeles known as Loyola Marymount University. It's in close proximity to my father's home and would give me the opportunity to be close to family. Although LMU is not considered an extremely selective university, I'm not so sure if it is of my caliber.
High School Statistics:
2.68 GPA on transcripts (sure to improve with Senior Year grades)
1800+ on SAT (will work to improve in upcoming months)

But as far as extra curriculars go, I've done an amazing job. LMU is known as a Catholic school, and although I may be Baptist, I've helped revitalize the christian community in my area by taking the President position of my school's Christian Club. Aside from that I've also been very active in community service, having completed well over 200+ hours of community service in organizations such as Key Club International and Leo Club (which I have held officer positions for). A 4 year commitment to my school's competitive marching band has also been prevalent. These experiences have shaped me in character building and becoming an overall leader.
My grades were low due to personal conflicts and external conflicts. I have a slight case of ADHD, financial difficulty which has distracted me from focusing in school, and health problems surrounding my mother have also been a factor in once losing my motivation to succeed in school. I come from a highly competitive public school in Los Angeles County and am part of a small ethnic minority of Middle Eastern (if any of this helps).

I'd truly appreciate it if anyone would be willing to chance me or give me any tips on LMU. I'll be applying for Early Action as this is the only university I would do anything to get into at this point. I have 2 killer teacher recommendations that will be written and one spiritual recommendation if needed. Thank you.
