@College4life3 o snap you probably HATE the reading section of the act lol
good chances yo!
Thanks @thegrant lol, you guessed right. I can’t seem to find a way to improve in that section!
@College4life3 omg if u just raised that one section up to a 29 you would have a 32 composite i feel so sorry for u lol
Update: Georgia tech does not consider reading, science, and composite scores of act. Weighted GPA is considered
I think your stats are really solid, the problem is that you’re out of state. Your statistics are look great though and many really qualified people were deferred/denied while some under qualified people were admitted. Georgia Tech is my dream school and with 12 APs, a 3.8 and a 2050 on the sat and 29 on the ACT, and a ton of ECs, I was also deferred.
The Early Action decisions are out-what was your admission status? I would guess that you were either accepted or deferred. If you were accepted, Congratulations!
If you were deferred, I genuinely wish you luck for RD. Honestly, I know MANY girls at my school who are weaker applicants than you that got accepted but I think with the M:F ratio being somewhere around 2:1, being a female automatically puts you at a MUCH higher chance. (this is me included. Only the top top male students from my school got accepted while most AP females students got accepted.)
However, being a Texas resident may help because of geographic diversity.
Your rigor of schedule is very solid and I would say the only thing that you could improve on is your ACT but at this point, there is nothing you can do and the score falls close to their middle 50%. Have you not taken SAT? It might not hurt to send them in because Tech supersuperscores (meaning that they take your best from all of the tests from both ACT and SAT). Your intended major is competitive but I don’t think Tech officially considers the major in your admission process. You have good ECs and Awards. I’d say you have a solid chance for RD. Good luck!
High match.
ACT is a little low. Try to bring it to 32 if possible.
@CoffeeandMango I did not EA; I applied for regular decision. @determined2300 I retook the ACT in February and improved my math score from a 33 to a 35. Also GA Tech does not consider composite and only considers the math, english, and english/combined scores. Sorry for the late replies
