Engineering is looking for your math and physics readiness for the program. You are currently in CALC AB, correct? You took AP physics test and didn’t do well. What was your score?

Your prior SAT was 1100 with a math score of 560. What are the breakdown of your new 1300 SAT score?

Your credentials are not strong for being admitted to A&M engineering, even though you are auto admit to university based on class rank. This scenario is one of the reasons A&M has turned to holistic review for engineering. Even though you are auto admit to College Station, you could be offered one of the academies for engineering, Blinn Team, or asked to chose another major. As you stated in other threads, a Math major may be the way to go.

If you are really wanting engineering, you should definitely have the back ups of UT Tyler, where you already have credit, or UT Dallas and even UT Arlington in your sights.

Transferring to A&M engineering is even more difficult and competitive. You must satisfy the freshman engineering course requirements as well as any others specific to the major to which you are applying. You can search each major for what those are.
