Any thoughts?

good as anyone elses

sats are good, class rank is questionable... cornell's statistics from last year's applicants showed that only like 130 out of 1400 applicants in the range from top 30-50 percent were accepted, and this includes URM's and athletes.... even those in the top 10% were accepted at about a 40% rate so your gpa might be a downfall, other than that, you have good stuff for cornell

Early or Regular?

Real shame about that GPA. Would have been a lot better otherwise.

...shame?........a little harsh dont you think?... so he fell into a bad crowd his sophomore year..and obviously recovered and is on the right track and doing well academically... you call perseverence a shame?.. a 3.2/4.0 and his history may seem like a "shame" to you...but it shows character to other people. just watch what you say.. and your post doesn't really seem to be anything constructive and positive...not like he can change is gpa now.

sorry for lashing out, im not angry or anything

Wow, dude, I didn't mean to be mean or anything. Really, I wasn't trying to criticise him. In fact, I agree that he must be a person of some real character, since he got things together after all that.

But the fact remains, 3.2 doesn't look too good on paper. Yes, I know there's nothing he can do about it now... What I wrote was more of wishful thinking than anything.

Wow..your senior grades are amazing. all my class averages are like...C-B's right now --;;...I think you have a very good shot. Since writing seems to be your strong point, your essay will def. boost you!

Wow guys, thank you for all the responses. I appreciate it, and I feel a little better/more confident :)

Hopefully I'll see you all next year in Ithaca :)
