not sure if i should take the ACTS
volunteered at an old age center for three years before being offered a summer job there at the age of 16.
on tennis team, cross country team.
on a competitive indian dance team (giddha)
plenty of volunteer hours ranging from helping at bone marrow donor drives to old age homes.
if it helps, i live in a small town w/ one high school, not many ap classes are offered, i think 6 are offered in total.

“asofnow” i’d say your chances to the UC’s you listed are a simply out of reach for you because of your SAT scores. Be sure to take a lot of practice tests and then re-take them in the Fall If you can raise them somewhat, you may have a shot at some of the 3rd-tier UC’s such as UCSC, UCR, and UCM. Your GPA is good, but your school appears to have serious grade inflation. You should definitely take the ACT in the Fall to see if you fare better. Good luck.

B+/B+…UCs will see this as two Bs(can’t report +/-) and will think that you decided not to continue in math senior year because you have a weakness in the subject. Could be a bad thing. You need better test scores, and take the SAT2s pronto so you can decide whether or not to retake that or SAT1 in Nov/Dec.

i raised my SAT score to an 1860. got a 550 and a 610 on subject tests, which is bad lol. i got into all the uc’s except Davis, accepting admission to UCLA tomorrow :)
