I am a Korean male born in the US.

SAT II: not decided yet but i believe i'll be taking Math 2C and korean?

EXTRA CURRICULAR:

-have done some community service ( open heart kitchen, RAD program, special olympics etc.,)

I am just wondering which UC's i could get into (if any). I was interested in UC Irvine if possible. Also USC. Just want to know my chances.

Any info will help! Thanks alot!

Mediocre GPA, average SAT, and bland ECs.
I would say right now you should be looking at like... UCR, UCM, or UCSC.

If you want to shoot for SD, Davis, and beyond I would say...
Get your GPA to around 3.6+ if possible and a SAT score of 2000+ should make you a safe match-match for Davis.

Okay. thanks. what are my chances for UC irvine though? tthat would probably one of the schools that i want to get into.

The UCs go by the UC GPA.

Here is the information on how to compute that:

<a href="http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/scholarship_reqs.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/scholarship_reqs.html</a></p>

Based upon what you posted, you are probably Match at UCSC and UCR, safety at UC Merced, and slight reach at UCI.

Good luck.

P.S. Recompute your GPA to a UC GPA and repost it. Based upon that, people can give you better "chances" estimates.

chances go up a lot more if you get that SAT to an 1800-1900.

thanks guys.
but i dont really get how to compute into UC gpa
hah

^
calculate your gpa as if it were unweighted, and add a point for a ap (or honors approved uc) class, for a maximum of 8 points (8 semesters, 4 yearlong classes)
