<p>I know that the communications studies at UCLA is very impacted. I was preparing for international development studies at ucla originally, but since this major got suspended im hoping for communication studies. my gpa is pretty low at 3.57 and i am NOT in the tap program. My cc recently developed a proper honors program after i took all my ge classes. after reading all these positives threads about tap programs, im very discouraged right now. im not so sure about applying to communication studies anymore.... My second shot would be for the english major at ucla. I have about 57 uc units right now..should i retake all the honor classes?? I am not interested in any other colleges than UCLA or UCB. Please help me out here! and can i still apply during the spring semester???</p>
<p>I don’t think you have much of a chance, tbh. Communications is the most competitive major at UCLA. I’d definitely look into an easier major.</p>

<p>i’m going to be quite frank here, you have NO chance at communications. they only look at people with 3.9. and even WITH TAP u wouldd still need amazing ECs and essays to get in. and no, UCs dont take spring. u have a chance for eng tho.</p>
