I'm a junior this year and I've really wanted to attend Cornell for a while now. I have a 3.9 GPA with all honors and AP classes. SAT scores were 690 verbal, 740 math, and 590 writing (taking the March test to improve this score). I've been in band since the 6th grade and ROTC since freshman year. I volunteer at an elementary school every Tuesday and Thursday and I've received an award for my community service time spent in Costa Rica building houses. I'm in NHS and participated in my schools "Freshman Guidance" program. Finally I take piano lessons in my free time. Do you think I should even bother applying? I've heard it's a tough school to get into but I'd like to get other peoples opinions on what I should do to improve my chances.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Maintain the GPA. Pull up the SAT to AT LEAST 2200+ (I’d say 2100, but your ECs seem weak)

Goodluckk.

Luckily for you the writing section isn’t factored into the equation at Cornell but I would suggest 1. Retaking the SATs and 2. Posting your stats in a much more comprehensible way. just meshing everything together in a paragraph is poor form. Check out other chance threads to see the regular format that is more thorough and easy to quickly assess. That being said, good luck to you and I would love to see you at Cornell in a few years :)
