Chances to get into michigan

I am a junior in a very competitive highschool. I currently have a 3.55 GPA and have a 1780 SAT. I have taken 3 APs and plan to take 3 more senior year. My ECs are track eaglescout basketball FBLA Model UN and Latin club. I was wondering what my chances may be at getting in early?

Are you IS or OOS. GPA and SAT kind of low for UMich but if you are a recruited basketball player then you are in.

No not recruited and oos

Scores may still be too low even for recruit. Anyway, for oos non recruit, you are very high reach. Your SAT is 400 below admission average.

The chances are very low, but not impossible. Its a very competitive school to get into. I would say your SAT should be 2000+ and your GPA around a 3.8 UW. Or at least try for 100 more SAT points, thats a good goal.

The Michigan website advertises an even higher SAT, I think just over 2100. I got deferred EA with a 2000 SAT and 3.67 GPA unweighted from OOS. I recommend you look into Wisconsin, Syracuse, and Indiana. I’ve heard from friends at both Indiana and Syracuse that they felt the social scene at their school was equal if not better than that of Michigan, if thats a concern of yours. Tulane is really fun too, though it would be a reach. Best of luck.

You need significantly higher grades and SAT scores
Chance back (Also for Michigan)

FYI. The admission average GPA for UMich last year was 3.85. The mid 50 SAT is 2030-2250.

your SAT is pretty good, and the AP classes will raise your gpa… keep doing good and you could get in :)
