I'm going to take the SAT and ACT at least 2 more times each (and I'm doing at least 3 SAT II subject tests too). I've worked on sections that I needed to fix up on each tests, but here are my current scores (with my not so good reading scores): ACT - 30; SAT (Math + Critical Reading) - 1340. My ACT should boost up to a 32 and my SAT should boost up to about a 1400 (on those two sections combined) as well because I've been working on my reading section. I've also taken a few FULL practice tests and have gotten a 32 and 33 for on the ACT tests and a 1420 and 1400 on the SAT tests. Anyway, with my current ACT and SAT scores (30 and 1340 (M + CR), respectively), what would be my chances to get in? Also, my CUMULATIVE GPA at my school (with the extra credit for my AP and honors courses, which is a 5.0 for those classes) is about a 4.6. With all of those classes with the extra GPA with them, that kind of changes the scale based on other schools' ways of scaling their honors and AP classes. If all of my classes were based on a 4.0 scale only (no 5.0 at all), then I'd have a cumulative of 4.0 GPA over high school so far (because my lowest grade for any semester is a 95, which earns a 4.0 at my school). With that 4.0 GPA and my 30 ACT/1340 SAT SO FAR, how would I stand at getting in? Thanks!

Also, does anyone have any idea about what my chances are for getting into the music school at NU? I've made the Arkansas All-State Jazz and Concert Bands last year, and I am one of the top 8 trombonists in the state. Would that help me in getting in, or is it purely the audition that gets me in? I play trombone and plan on majoring in Performance. Any information on this would be fantastic. Thanks!
