I had similar stats to you, and I was deferred, haven't recieved a decision yet. Where we differ is that I had some more extracurriculars, but you had a couple more honors and more community service. You had better grades than me, but I have taken 4 AP's and 19 Honors courses. Without your SAT scores, it's hard to tell where you'd stand. They are the only thing everyone is on a level playing field. I think you could get in, but the only advice I have for you is what I'm sure everyone says- keep working really hard the rest of this year, apply early(I applied at the end of October and I wish I applied mid-September), and good luck on your SAT's.

Hard to predict without solid numbers, but probably a decent shot at all of the schools. URM status will be a huge boost.

what is URM?

Under-Represented Minority

thanx lol..i shoulda knew that

any other opinions

anyone else??????

It depends on your SAT. If you can breat the 1300 on your SAT, I really like your chances. You need at least a 1200 to have a decent chance. Your URM status will definitely help.

Note for when you take the SAT, especially the writing section, don't say "will have took", "taken" is where it's at. I think you have a good chance, just remember that when you calculate for umich GPA, the religion classes etc wont count.
