Chances to get into UC Berkeley L&S CS

Major: Computer science
UC GPA: 4.18
UW GPA: 3.82
SAT: 2140 (CR 660 Math 710 Writing 770)
ACT: 31
Subject SATs: Math 2 800, waiting on physics which will probably be somewhere around 700 flat
Ethnicity/gender: Asian/male
AP scores: Calculus BC 5 (AB subscore also 5), Computer Science 4, Statistics 3
Senior courses: AP Physics, AP Psychology, Zoology, World Literature, Ceramics, Civics
Extracurriculars: Took summer computer science course, internship in silicon valley
State: California

You have some pretty good stats and since you’re probably instate, it should be a high match/low reach for L&S. ECs are slightly lacking and your UW GPA isn’t the best but I think you have a decent shot at it. Good luck!

Bump

One more bump and then I’ll stfu

You look like a qualified applicant. UCB admitted 29% of applicants in your GPA range (based on the link below) so I would say it is a Low Reach. Unfortunately this does not take into account specific major acceptances.
Your SAT test scores are on target and if you write good essays, you could boost your chances.

Good Luck.

You would be applying to L&S undeclared; if you are admitted and then enroll, you need to earn a 3.30 GPA in CS 61A, 61B, and 70 to enter the L&S CS major.

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/freshman-admissions-summary says that, for 2015, 46% of UCB applicants with UC-weighted-capped GPA of 4.20 or higher were admitted, but only 12% of those with UC-weighted-capped GPA of 3.80-4.19 were admitted.

@ucbalumnus: I used the same link you posted and I get a Freshman admit rate of 29% for a GPA range of 3.8-4.19 using HS GPA for 2015. Not sure why my answer is different?
