Hi so I’m a high school junior. I’ve been home schooled throughout high school, but I’ve been taking courses at our local community college since my first semester of my sophomore year. I currently have an unweighted GPA of 3.54. My extra curricular activities include being a junior leader at my church’s youth ministry, giving homework help to students grades K-6, teaching struggling students how to read, and volunteering at a food pantry. Can anybody please tell me what I need to do to get admitted to Udub for bioengineering? My dad works at facebook and he thinks he can get me a summer internship there but I’m also planning to apply to a Research internship with UC Santa Cruz.
What is your community college GPA? What classes are you taking at the college? If your GPA is comparable to those of transfer students (even though you’re applying for Freshman admission) you’ll have a better shot. The GPA for accepted transfer students at my community college was a 3.5 .
