Chances to get into UGA Early Admissions?

Can anyone give insight into my chances of getting into UGA early admissions now that they have added extracurriculars to the application process?

GPA: 3.3-3.4

Sat: 1120 w/o Writing

Sat:1710 w/ Writing

1 AP class, almost exclusive Advanced classes

On track for Science Honors= 6+ science classes with A in the class

Played volleyball, Section Leader for Marching band dance line, gotten awards in Mock Trial team

Numerous extracurriculars. Marching band, volleyball, dance company,

Community service: 150+ hours working at a horse stable

Internship/Volunteering: 300+ hours at UGA's large animal and community practice clinic at Vet School
((I want to go into Animal Health at UGA and eventually get into the Vet school))

I know my GPA is my falling point but does everything else make up for it?

you will most likely not get in early.Regular is a reach but you have a chance to get in eventually.

For UGA early admissions they do not look at EC’s, clubs, community service at all, Also you do not submit teacher recs for Early Admission. The only thing it is based on is GPA, SAT score and # of AP classes (rigor). Based on the students that Is aw get accepted 2 years ago when my son was applying to colleges (I also work in the school system), I don’t think you have the SAT/GPA to get in the early round. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply for regular decision. I’ve also seen many student get placed on the waitlist and then accepted off the waitlist in mid-May.

Good luck.

Your SAT and GPA are lower than the middle 50% of students. I do not think you will get admitted EA. You should apply RD that is where they look at the whole student. EA is strictly about the numbers and rigor of your classes.

2009 Profile:
Middle 50% of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.68 - 4.0
Overall Average of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.83

SAT-I Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students 1800 - 2080
SAT-I Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students (CR&M): 1190 - 1360
Overall SAT-I Average of Admitted First-Year Students: 1263

[University of Georgia: News & Information](<a href=“UGA Today - Today’s top news from the University of Georgia”>UGA Today - Today’s top news from the University of Georgia)
this is the stats of the students who got accepted early last year.

This year UGA is changing their early decision to include EC and community service and leadership positions, the only difference between regular decision is that they include four essay questions

^but the standards for early admission remain the same.

I applied last year and got deferred from UGA, but later I received an acceptance letter during the regular decision round. I had a 3.7 GPA and 1140 (CR+M) SATs. I had a lot of extras, which included a lot of clubs, 2 sports, 3 years of work experience, and volunteer work.

UGA focuses a lot on GPA. I had a friend with a higher SAT score than I, and got denied because she had a lower GPA than I. Rigor and GPA is a factor. Increase your gpa and more ap classes and you will get in. Also, check the admissions blog at uga.edu
