Chances to get into University of Toronto?

I'm a Canadian born, US resident about to enter my senior year of high school in the fall. Going to U of T has been my dream for years, but I'm worried I don't have a good chance of getting in.

I have a 29 ACT, 3.6 weighted GPA (3.0 unweighted). I've taken 4 AP tests, the only score of which I know so far was a 3 in US History

I'm really involved in school (which I know isn't as important to Canadian universities). I've competed at the state and national level for speech and debate (ranked about 10th in state for class of 2015), I've been a speech and debate officer all through high school (current VP), I'll be president of Model UN this year, I organized an underclassmen leadership conference last year, I was a student council officer, I'm helping to organize and direct my school's freshman orientation this fall (which I participated in all other years of high school), within my school I am a mustang way leader, a WSC leader, a member of Presidents' Council, an NHS member, and that's about it.

Any thoughts?

Any upward trends? Any idea of the discipline pursued?

If they convert your grades % for % you’re in. As a U of T alum, I’d advise you to skip U of T. You won’t have a good college experience there.

Thanks menefrega! Nothing will dissuade me from it if I get in haha, I went to a camp there and went to a couple parties junior year and fell in love with it.

Catria, I’m looking at political science/international relations and affairs, maybe with some economics. Thanks for the help!!

@usacanadiangirl‌ Your stats are good enough for humanities and political science, it would be tougher to call if you were aspiring to get into business, engineering, or sciences. I’m a Canadian and it’s true, they only look at your grades. U of T is really big though, not the best place for undergrad, Queens or Mcmaster are other good options in Ontario although almost all major Canadian Unis are 25K plus in student body.

I hope you’re not afraid of intense grade deflation…
