Low match/Slight Reach
Based on your expected GPA, SAT scores, you have an average chance maybe slightly above average. Try to get a 4.0 for the first semester of your senior year as the admissions office will see that unless you’re applying ED. The fact that your GPA has been climbing every year is a good thing, so don’t sweat your freshman year GPA. Make sure you answer the short answer questions and essays thoughtfully as NYU seems to really care about them especially when it comes down to the wire.

Low reach - Your GPAs are okay but your SATs are above average. Your test scores and ECs are right on. Elections for clubs and honor societies are coming up for you so try to get some major leadership positions. Take full advantage of the summer before senior year; start looking for a job right now before they are filled. If NYU is your first choice, apply ED to increase your chance. Good luck!

You have a good candidacy.
If you are planning to do the ED, you have a good chance to get in.
For regular, I also think it’s a low reach as others said above.
Your weakest point is your relatively low gpa.
=> I recommend you to apply for ED personally.

p.s. Great job on your AP Economics :)

Honestly, you might want to shoot a little higher, Columbia maybe. You have great shots at NYU, getting in is the easiest part, for most of us its paying that causes problems. The Australian thing would help you I think. However, realize you’re going to be compared to the other kids at your school, but if your relatively competitive in class rigor and scores, I think your chances are great (i also think they’ll be a bit more lenient with your freshmen grades).

youre fine. write a letter explaning the trend and gpa.

As an international, it’s quite difficult to chance you. Admissions is already such an engima for students living in the states.
