Chances to NYU-Stern

Hi guys, please, can someone leave any responses on my chances of getting into Stern? I’m like desperate now :< Because I really need the financial aid and I’ve just searched for Stern’s estimated expenses and the number is speechless ( in a negative way for a poor student like me). My family contribution can only be up to 27k $/year :expressionless: So yah please help and thank you so so muchhhhhh <3

Currently living in Vietnam, studying at a famous specialized school ( ranked #5 national)
taking Honor programs classes for 7 years (from middle school 'till now): Mathematics & languages (English and Chinese)
Intended to major in Business

Old SAT 2210 (650CR, 800M, 760WR)
TOEFL: 105 but I’m gonna retake in August (aiming for a 110+)
GPA: 3.64 unweighted, ranked #2 in class ( My school curriculum is super super super intensive so earning gpa higher than 3.5 is not easy in my school)

I think you have pretty decent chances of getting in. Stern looks only at CR+M so your SAT score at a 1450 is just about average. GPA is a bit below average, but your EC activities make up for it.

Your GPA isn’t below average since your school clearly simply grades tough, since you’re #2 in your class. You have a great shot, and will possibly have your financial needs met.

@adreamer22 Btw do you think that I should apply for ED round? Because like I would need 40-45k $ for financial aid and they said regular round’s much harsher…

@damnitmegan Honestly I don’t think it will matter for you. If they really want you, they’ll give you enough money, regardless of early decision or regular action.
