Chances to Stern, Wharton, Berkeley, Princeton, SUNY-Binghampton, and UChicago

Before you read my comment do, note that this is all my PERSONAL opinions so ofc it’ll be biased to a degree.

I think you definitely got SUNY in the bag. Shouldn’t be hard for you to get in at all. And for Stern,Berk, UChi I’m gonna say you probably have a higher chance of getting into Berk in all three of those. Im assuming that u r gonna do econ at UChicago?

For your Sat I score, it’s better if you had 2200 that would’ve given you a lot more chances. But 2100 is a good score. I’m not sure about Uchicago, but for stern i’d say more than 50% chance. Your gpa is low but they look at how hard the courses you took were. Your experiences with trading and start-ups is definitely unique and a plus.

For Wharton and Princeton… i’d say chances for you to get in are probably not high. Then again, don’t let my comments discourage you from applying. Read my advices to you but you don’t have to take 'em.

Best of luck with the application process!!!

Sources: I’m in stern

Forgot to add: Junior Year class president

In all honesty, your list is overly heavy with super-reach schools.

UChicago with a 3.4 is pretty much out of the question - they have enough applicants that they can be just as selective as the ivy leagues.

I also just noticed Wharton and Princeton on your list - not going to happen. They have both have 7% or lower acceptance rates. A 3.4 just isn’t going to cut it.

You stand some, albeit not very great, chance at Berkeley and Stern, but you should try to find some other schools between Stern/Berkeley and SUNY.

bump. any more opinions?

Wait sorry i missed something incredibly important. You are black ( Sorry if this sounds racist lol). But from a couple articles and researches floating around, URM-Black students usually can be a little below the average cut off and still get in. This doesn’t apply to the UC schools cuz they are race blind. So i think your chances are pretty average and maybe good for NYU stern, Berk, and U chicago.

um thanks. bump
expecting a 2250 on next SAT

Also i wouldnt be bothered by your 9th&10th grade GPA. As long as you finish strong with your junior and senior year, maybe add another few AP scores. With a 2200+ you are in a really good position Berk, NYU and a decent place for UChi.

Are you sure? Am I in a “really good position” for STERN?

i wouldnt say REALLY GOOD POSITION, id say decent chance
i wouldnt be surprised if you didnt get in, but i wouldnt be surprised if you do get in

I’d be surprised if you got rejected from Stern. I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually got into Wharton or Princeton, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they rejected you. If that makes sense…

Yeah I understand that. Bump.

Go read this guy’s thread history. He makes **** up as he goes along and every single one of his threads is a little different from the others. ■■■■■ ALERT! Save your fingers CC
