chances to transfer from community college to berkeley/ucsb/ucsc?

I am currently a sophomore at a community college with a GPA of 3.4, I need to take maximum credits to transfer next fall 2013, and my major is Psychology but I might change it to Architecture (I have a great interest and talent in interior design, but that major is not an option). Anyway, I was wondering what are my chances of getting in, also would I be able to handle the workload and would I be successful there? background info: I have 2 sisters at UCLA and UCSC. I graduated when I was 16 from an accelerated (but not hard at all) coursework with my highschool GPA of 3.6 ish. I have taken one AP class before: European History, but it was easy and I feel like I could have done more in highschool. I don't think I have pushed myself to my limits so what I have listed above is easily manageable. Also I am currently a full time student at my community college (I am not at a university because I didn't get to apply with the rest of my class, otherwise I would have had to take a gap year since I graduated early) and I still work mon-thurs and saturdays part time. I still have a good amount of free time. Sorry it's so long, I just want you to get a good feel of what I am handling now so you can get an idea if Berkeley is a good choice for me. I don't want to push myself too hard, but I am definitely the type of person that likes to stay busy and hates wasting time. Thanks so much for taking the time to read through this!!!

re-reading this I sound less hardworking than I am, I meant to say that I have a heavy load now and to most other people this would probably be a little overwhelming (early graduation, full time school in addition to part time work while maintaining good grades) but I think I can handle a bit more… am I being confusing??? ugh I don’t know, I’m stressed out, someone please explain to me the workload and things like that and if I can even get in.

As long as you stay on track and get your work done you should have a pretty good shot. You will need much higher than a 3.4 for psychology though. Just continue to push yourself because it will be much different in the quarter system and you need to keep your standards high. I was working 45 hours a week and going to school full time before I transferred. My little brother also transferred to UCLA with TAP and a 3.7x GPA and did not get into psychology. Since he was TAP certified he got accepted as his back up major(Japanese) but somehow weaseled his way into Business Econ. LOL. Good luck!

@ iDizzle, would architecture be easier to get into as a backup major?
