chances to transfer to NB?

i'm in a bit of a situation. i messed up in highschool now im trying to fix it with community college. i graduated hs with a 2.2 lol now im at mcc as a math major doing significantly well. only problem this semester is that i had to drop my english class for reasons in which i will not get into. but other than that this semester im taking precalc, to rebuild my foundation. philosophy, freshmen seminar type of thing and a chemistry class because i didnt take it in highschool. next semester im taking calculus, stellar and galactic astronomy, and general chemistry and maybe ill try and retake english. im taking calculus 2 over summer so in the fall i can take calc3, differential eq's and linear algebra.

im applying for fall admissions at rutgers Nb. my family is moving this summer and i dont want to transfer to another cc and risk credits not transferring, retaking classes than trying to transfer back up to new jersey. otherwise id stay the two years.

what are my chances of getting in? should i try and speak with an admissions counselor or bite the bullet and that a rejection letter due to unfortunate circumstances

Depends on your grades and test scores.

well im doing fairly well so im anticipating a gpa of 3.0 or higher. and ive been out of highschool for two years. i graduated in 2006. i didnt think my sat scores still mattered.

SAT scores do matter.

A 3.0 from a CC and a 2.2 GPA from high school..I would say you would be lucky to get wait listed at William Patterson Univ..sorry..but your not going to get into Rutgers NB with that GPA.

you need to be a little more specific, you say above a 3.0 but how much above? and what are your SAT scores

yea its hard to say with the information you have provided us with, just bust your ass get that GPA up and send in an app and hope for the best

wish ya luck
