Hello College Confidential!
I have decided to study in an American University in Geneva, Switzerland to study International Relations. I will be a freshman next year (fall 2009).

I can't see myself graduating from this university and I have been considering to transfer out of the school after 1-2 years. Some colleges I have considered are Georgetown SFS, John Hopkins, American University, George Washington, Colombia.

These schools are all very top notch and I think I have limited chances of being accepted to them, however I want to work towards something (Aka I will try to pursue a 4.0 gpa in college).

I would like to study International Relations in college as my upbringing has started my interest in the subject. I am fluent in English, German, and French because I lived in Switzerland, Austria, and the US. In college I plan on minoring in Arabic, and if I have time I will study Spanish at a local language center. I also carry double citizenship with Switzerland and the US.

My High School grades are mediocre. I had a GPA of 3.2 in High School and SAT scores of 1600/2400. I could blame my poor statistics on the various education systems I went through, however that would just be a "lame" excuse. I never even considered to apply to American Universities, hence I didn't take the SATII's or the ACT. I took the SAT because of "peer pressure" believe it or not. I ended up applying to 7 universities (Providence College, SUNY Albany, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo, and Hofstra). I got accepted to all of them, which surprised me.

I attended a Public High School in Maryland ranked 44th in the nation, and number 1 in the state.

Thank you for your patience, concerns, and advice. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
