Am I aiming to high?

Definitely plan on retaking the SAT. :P Then throw in some SAT IIs, maybe an ACT (that worked for me), some good scores on AP tests, and that should take care of the testing sector.

Keep up the grades and the clubs; you're doing good work with those so far. Plus the fact that you live in-state for all but NYU should help your chances.

When you do apply, apply to as many schools as you can fit in your budget. Just remember, there's no such thing as aiming too high.

randomlysweet:

UCB/UCLA: Super Reach
UCSD: Reach

USC: super reach
NYU: reach

Flopsy knows the UC schools. Yes, you're aiming too high. Look up the school's 25%-75% scores and make sure you have some where you are at their 75%.
