UC GPA: 3.8 <(3 APs)
SAT I score: 2000 <<(retaking December)<can i improve? i got 1670 my first time?!
SAT II: Math IIC (700), US History (680), Physics (660) <<retaking Math and Physics November
ECs:
XC and track 4 years
Concert band 4 years <<(this lowered my UC GPA; will the fact that I took 0 period band cancel out its grade effect?)
Chess champ 1 year and chess club 4 years
Volunteered at local hospital for 150+hours over course of about 2 years

Projected senior year 1st semester GPA: 4.14 (If this matters at all)

What are my chances specifically for UCB, UCLA, UCSD, and UCI? And how can I improve my chances?
Thanks!

The GPA is weak for the top UCs, the SAT is average, and the ECs are average.

Berkeley/UCLA: reach
UCSD: slight reach
UCI: match

You can improve the SAT, but now that you've improved 300+ points, it's going to be more difficult to get up. I'd say shoot for 2150+ and that would probably make your chances a bit better (more so at UCSD than at UCB/UCLA).

Wow. Hopefully I'll be able to raise my SAT I score dramatically again. For the SAT I, I got a 680 on Math (only a 70 point increase from my last time), probably because of careless errors. If I work on not making careless errors, I am sure that I can get over a 750. Reading is a different story. I got a 600 because I had to go the the bathroom for one of the sections so badly that I rushed and never checked my answers (I swear I could have ****ed in my pants! I immediately sprinted to the bathroom when I was allowed to and took most of my break peeing). FYI, without band, my UC GPA would probably be over 3.9 (including the fact that more time would have given me an A in AP Spanish and A in US History. Not so sure about 2nd semester AP Physics or Architectural Design<<(yes...got a B) though).

any other opinions?

oh ya, what are my chances to UCSB? i just found out that they have business economics
