Im afraid my Gpa will ruin my chance

You’re fine. It’s UGA. 54% acceptance rate

I was deferred this year with a 3.65 gpa weighted and a 2090 SAT (1390/1600). UGA places huge emphasis on gpa, so your best bet would be to raise the SAT if you can, but focus on grades most of all. Good luck on your next year of high school and hope this helps.

UGA is very hard to get into despite the higher acceptance rate. Where you live in Georgia will also affect it (though they say it doesn’t); it will be harder to get into if you go to one of the higher ranked North metro-Atlanta high schools and easier if youre in rural georgia, for instance. You can look up last years stats (both overall and EA) and easily find them. It will be hard for you to get in with that GPA (average for EA last year was 4.11) and they value GPA more than test scores. You definitely have a chance, but do not get to set on going there. It’s hardest for even the best of students to get in. God luck!
