Essays: I've worked really hard on my essays and I would say they are good. They are original and show some thought which I think is pretty important for U Chicago particularly.

I appreciate you guys giving me an idea of whats to come. Thanks for reading/answering!

Numbers are important for UC, but it really is ultimately all in the essay. If it your essay is supremely good and creative, you should have no problems getting in with these numbers.

It would be cool if some guys here could maybe look over my essays once I am done to tell me if they are up to U Chicago par. I'm almost there; I just need to finish the long one.

Thanks!

Seems like you'd be a good fit. You need to write well, that's for sure. You're obviously qualified in all the more "objective" categories. (grades, test scores, etc.) You also have to ask yourself if you would be a good fit for the neighborhood, too.

I may be a little biased but from my perspective I'm a perfect fit for this university community-wise. As for my essays, I think they are pretty good but once I finish them I would appreciate if maybe some of the members here would take a look.

I think you have great chances for UChicago. By the way, I'm going to be presenting my research at the SPIE conference in San Jose this January!! Though I am 17, PM me if you're interested in discussing research, etc...

I have very similar stats to you and I am applying Early Action. In fact, our senior courseload is almost identical and we have the same SAT score!

Hope we both get in! Best of luck!

I'll take a look at your essays. I'm also applying to U of C, and you certainly have me beat in research and test scores. I think you have a good chance.

Best of luck!

I sent in my completed application yesterday. Good luck to everyone!
