It really depends whether or not you are a recruit.

well if you are really "perfect"....

It'll come down to whether you actually get recruited to run, and it'll come down to your test retakes. With that SAT I score, it's unlikely. Bring it up about 100 points overall and your chances go up.

In all honesty...I think I have only see one person get into Harvard with those SATs and she was African-American. Your GPA is very good and your ECs/Awards look great so I would say you have a chance although what hurts you the most are your SAT scores. Hey, I think it's worth a try. Good luck!

Hmm let's see. I'm a runner too, so I decided to stalk you and found out who you are. Your hurdles time is very good but that is the only result I can find. You aren't in TullyRunner's XC or Track Databases. However, I think you need to raise your scores slightly.

congress, get a perfect ACT score and you're in. I recorded a 36 on the ACT, myself, in April, and yes, I was accepted to Harvard, although it was early admissions in 2005, and it was with a 32 (I got a 32 in the 11th grade).. and then in April 2006, finally got the 36. Really, if you can get a 32, then you can get a 36. It's just a matter of paying more attention if you're THAT close.

Sounds about right... Any suggestions for the other schools? Also, what's the best way to go about getting the in with athletics? just keep in touch w/ the coach?

Might want to look at Holy Cross, which has very good academics and nice athletics. HC is also very strong in Latin and good alumni network.

When asessing your chances at Harvard, look at their published SAT percentiles. You will find that your scores put you far below the 25th percentile in verbal and slightly below it in math. The bottom 25% are usually, but not always, reserved URMs, legacies, and really, really valuable athletic recruits. Unless you are one of the three for sure, your chances are probably slim.

but a 32 ACT does not put him out of range - I think people are missing that score. His low SAT I score doesn't really matter as they'll evaluate based on the ACT, which is pretty good.

Retake the Chem SAT II.
