Hey, my name's Jimmy, I'm new to the forum! I need some help!
Essential background: I was born in the USA and moved overseas to England for 4 years, from Y8-11 (7th to 10th grade inclusive) I completed my GCSEs there and earned 7A* 4A (bear in mind this was the year where the DOE raised grade boundaries significantly) I also took an A level module (MEI mechanics 1: B). I then moved back to the USA to the city I lived in before I initially moved, in North Carolina. I am currently in my first semester of american high school, my grades so far, providing that I maintain my current straight A record, will become a weighted GPA of 5.3 unweighted 4.0.(I currently do not have a GPA) This year I am taking:

Algebra 2 Honors
English 3 Honors
AP English 3
Civics and Economics Honors
AP World History
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
Pre-Calc Honors

And next year I was planning on taking:

AP Calc AB
AP Calc BC
AP Statistics
Earth Science honors (required)
and 4 other AP classes
I also plan on taking AP Physics as an online course.

in other words, i am taking as many AP classes as I possibly can

This if it goes well will give me an excellent weighted GPA but my unweighted GPA may suffer greatly because I do not have a base to build on, I'm just starting out straight on AP.

Outside of school I am an avid reader of classics (Les Mis, Wuthering Heights, etc)
I am learning how to sail
I am a semi-competitive fencer (yet to find a club in NC)
I am an eagle scout with 3 palms (at the tender age of 15 :P)
I skipped 2nd grade if that counts for anything!
In England I was a Prefect
In England I won the school house debating competition
In England I was the fencing captain, and recieved school colors for performance.
I have travelled Europe EXTENSIVELY and, at the risk of sounding arrogant, am very worldly
I went twice on my school's forgien exchange program to Russia
I'm sure there's more but this is turning into a laundry list!

So help me out, what are my chances?
I'm aiming really for Oxbridge (Mainly Cambridge) but my parents want me to go domestic for my undergrad, so I really want to get into an Ivy League school or MIT for chemistry or physics or math or biology (really open minded as of yet). If these schools dont accept me, I am also applying to Uni of Illinois Champaign-Urbana due to local relatives and UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, etc. (local unis)

I take the PSAT in October, the SAT in June and the ACT in the spring/summer (not sure). I am hoping for good results, but until then, assuming I do reasonably well on SAT/ACT, What are my chances??

Leave a comment or send me a message if I have missed any information!
