I'm wondering if I have a chance to get admitted to McIntire.</p>

Foreign High School: Nang Khieu High School of the Gifted</p>
<p>My GPA at Northern Virginia Community College: 3.927/4.0, one B in College Composition</p>
<p>Extracurricular activities:
Environmental club: Officer for 2 semesters.
Rotaract Club: Treasurer for 1 semester.
Part-time job: Bookstore - Staff for 2 months
Volunteer in a few environmental events in D.C.</p>
<p>Recommendation letters from Student Activities Advisor and Accounting professors.</p>
<p>Why don’t you post this question over on the UVa Forum and see whether Dean J will answer the question about how important SATs are for transfer students?</p>

Hi there! To my knowledge, SAT is not required but recommended. I know a friend without SAT score who got into waitlist and then got admitted. In addition, I can not take any SAT now since the deadline is coming close. I just took my second SAT in late Jan.
I have already asked Ms Hessing who is responsible for transfer process about my low SAT score. She said my score is fine.
I’m worrying about my essays, since my SAT essay score is only 6/12 and I’m not good at writing. That’s why I created this thread, to ask for opinions.
