I think you’re OK, especially if you’re not majoring in science/math. If you haven’t visited Tulane, you should do that ASAP … before decision day for sure.

thanks NewHope! I’m planning to do a double major in psych/business w/ a minor in international relations, if that helps; and decision day, b/c I used EA and the Personal Application, is within the next 2 weeks, so I can’t visit; but appreciate the advice!

Agree with above, you should definitely get in. I see no weaknesses, your ACT in the upper mid-range of Tulane’s stats. Strong GPA, and you sufficiently challenged yourself with AP’s, scoring well on the 2 you took so far. You will probably get some merit money offered also, but that is harder to predict in your case. I would also say Honors Program is borderline, but not to worry. You can earn your way in by making the grades Freshman year, if they don’t make that offer up front.

No separate application, every admitted student is considered. They tell you in the acceptance letter if you are in the Honors Program, so if it says nothing about it you were not. I never looked into it, but I suppose there is probably a form to fill out if you don’t get in at first and apply after freshman year.

thanks fo chancing me,
It looks pretty good, your GPA is massive
and your ACT is higher than their average,
Also, your EC list is extensive, so I don’t think you will have a problem.
Good Luck

Tulane traditionally takes students with stronger Verbal than math scores on standardized testing, so I agree- your chances look good. Do you consider it a match or a reach for you?
